Ride-Hailing Safety Data: How It Works

SafeSide is a community-reporting platform. Riders submit first-hand accounts of ride-hailing experiences, moderators review each one for our publication rules, and the reports that pass are published against the vehicle plate number. The value of that record grows over time and lives in the aggregate.

What we publish, and what we do not

Today there are no published findings to share, and we will not invent any. When reports are published, the live numbers appear on the public safety data page, computed directly from published reports with nothing estimated. Until there are enough published reports to describe patterns responsibly, we will say so plainly rather than dress guesses up as findings.

Why we wait

Small samples mislead. A handful of reports can make one platform or one hour of the night look safer or riskier than it is, because a few riders decided to report, not because the pattern is real. Published numbers also reflect what riders choose to report, nothing more. When the volume is large enough to be meaningful, we will publish aggregate statistics with the method stated alongside.

How you can use the data

Check a plate number before you ride, read each published account in the reporter's own words, and judge for yourself. An absence of reports is not a statement about a driver, and no number on this platform is a safety rating of a person.
